This is the coolest toy I have ever bought! been wanting one for years and I finally made a purchase and I wish I would have done it much much sooner. I have no basis for comparison since this is my first quadcopter but for a first timer, this is soooo much fun. I'm blown away. In fact, some people at the park watched me use it, pulled out their phones and went shopping for it on Amazon right then and there. Highly recommend!

This was my first quad copter purchase and I have to say its got me hooked. Its stable and very forgiving for inexperience pilots. Just remember, start close to the ground and practice hovering. It does flips real easy but thats not nearly as cool as all the great footage you can get. Eventually you find yourself hovering 30 ft above your house and getting crazy footage! it has a nice camera that records nice video and there is nothing more fun than running it a few times and reviewing your video either on the controller or pc, laptop etc. and remembering what kind of maneuvers you were trying. I find myself giggling like a little kid even when I crash! Speaking of crashing, leave the propeller guard on! It isn't that much more weight and reduces prop loss and breakage by 50 percent Im certain! I recommend buying a nice package of spare props, a six pack of batteries and a set of spare motors. Replacement props barely cost anything and the batteries aren't a bad price either and that will keep you going for a good hour. You will want motors (4pack is $12) at the ready to solder in because they can get damaged in a crash but in the two months I've had this quad, (I use it at least 4 days a week, when I get time) I have only had to replace two, and I crash a lot! Each of the motor points projecting from the center of the quad has a sort of "break away" zone (think of the old break away basketball rims that prevented the rim from breaking off of the backboard) to absorb hard landings and I think its an ingenious design because it gives but doesn't break. You simply snap it back in place! All together its a great design and well thought out. I don't use the fpv function for flying but enjoy using it for quick replays of my flights. Separately purchased sd card can hold your videos for replay and is really easy to use. I highly recommend this quad for a beginner. I easily have gotten enough enjoyment out of it to justify what I paid. It just works and may whet your appetite for some of the more advanced quads that have gps and "fly home" capability. Its got me interested. Hubsan makes a great product and I have seen comparisons against similar products. This quad beats them every time. It does everything you want it to for the price.

So far so cool! The LCD screen works even with the camera off and the image is more crisp than I expected. Makes navigating easier when the top-mounted LEDs are not visible (daytime). As with other quad-copters this size, the less wind the better. I had problems maintaining a stationary position in a light breeze. However, that should become more manageable with practice. Overall the Hubsan FPV X4 RTF Quad-Copter is a LOT of fun!

so much fun to fly the controller just eats batteries left and right. you must use rechargeable if you do not want to go broke buying batteries. i get around 3-4 minutes of run times per battery in the drone so extra batteries is a must. using the drone is easy, but flying it like a pro takes some time.

Bought this as a present for my 7 year old...it is too difficult for him right now, but his father and grand father help him with it. He really wanted one with a camera and this was the cheapest/with the best reviews. It has already been flown into windows, trees and houses....and the frame is slightly cracked....but so far so good...besides the frame can be replaced. Battery lasts for about 5-10 minutes and takes a while to charge...so we will be buying extra batteries for it soon. All in all...it is a pretty good drone for the price...great for learning and beginners.

I love this little quadcopter. It is great for beginners. Pretty stable and the camera feature is awesome for the price. You are not getting the best quality video, but remember what you are paying for it. For good quality video you will pay 1200+. This is an awesome toy in my opinion. When you learn how to control it you can upgrade the camera for a better view and control with the FPV and the antenna for longer range... but that is totally not necessary in my opinion. It is plug and play meaning it is assembled and ready for action out of the box. Young and Old will love this little quadcopter. This is my first one ever and I am enjoying every minute of it. You can find a lot cheaper quadcopter without the camera feature. But why do that? The camera adds sooooooo much fun to it.

Great first FPV quad nice way to get into the hobby without having to spend to much time setting things up and fixing but for those who like fixing and building their are better options but so a simple no hassle starter this was great for me

It's a good little drone to get you started for any unexperienced or experienced Flyers. It worked great on its first flight just had to calibrate it of course and for the money you can't beat it I would highly recommend buying a couple more sets of batteries and rechargeable Double a batteries for the transmitter because it will eat it up other than that no complaints.

I bought this for my 12 year old. It's an awesome, really fun toy, but there are a few things you need to know before you buy. Battery flight time is 5-7 minutes. So unless you want to be like us on the first couple of days (fly for five minutes, charge for an hour, fly for five minutes, charge for an hour, etc.), then you will absolutely need to buy extra batteries. They are much cheaper than you'd expect. I'd also recommend a multi-port charger, so you can charge all those extra batteries all at the same time. It really makes a difference. You will also absolutely need to buy extra propellers. The propellers pop off rather easily, especially when you are first learning to fly it and add bumping into walls every other minute. The quadcopter comes with an extra set of propellers, but we did manage to lose them as well. Other than that, the quadcopter is a very fun little toy. If highly recommend as a gift.

Quadcopter came nicely packaged with all parts. The transmitter fits comfortably in my medium sized hands and is easy to navigate the limited menu options. The screen is very good for the price point and does an excellent job of showing what the camera sees. I've been running the prop guard (included) to keep my propellers and house safe. I've still managed to lose about four in the week that I've owned the QC. The video quality isn't great and interference occurs often. It hasn't caused any issues flying the QC. The low quality is needed in order to transfer the video at such a quick rate. Most FPV videos of other crafts online are from a secondary camera and not the fpv camera. The transmitter goes through batteries rather quickly as well thanks to the screen. Make sure you get plenty of batteries or invest in rechargables. This is a great trainer QC and I've really enjoyed it so far.

Fun toy. The perfect size for in the house. Much more stable than similar models from a couple years ago. Screen is a bit small, but works. Good fun for the money. I prefer the larger quads, but this is great for indoors, or outside when there is no wind.

this thing is freaking great!! m son wanted one for Christmas so I opted for this little beauty.. he's never flown one of these before but after reading the directions he was landing it on a 3'x3' cardboard box on top of a speaker on the other side of the room within a hlf hour of picking up the controller.. camera seams really nice everything worked as it was suppose to right out of the box. very nice fit and finish.. all his friends as well as mine are jealous..

I have had this quad copter for about a month now and have really enjoyed it. I haven't had any issues with the batteries or binding the quad to the remote.

I love this little thing. As long as it is flown with the prop guard, it is amazingly resilient to crashes - so much so that the "crash pack" I bought for it has gone unused thus far (with the exception of the spare battery). Actually, the battery life is the only real complaint I have (5-6 minutes). But the battery can be swapped in seconds and extra ones are cheap, so it is not as terrible as it could be. Also, the transmitter batteries drain down very fast as well. OK, and it makes the most irritating sound known to man - sort of like a swarm of dentist drills. As for the performance, it really is a lot of fun. I own a much bigger one, and the Hubsan is almost more fun to fly. In expert mode it goes like stink and is extremely responsive and maneuverable. Flying FPV (first-person view) is very odd and a bit challenging, but I'm getting the hang of it and consider the Hubsan a good teaching platform before I convert my larger one. If you are considering it, then I say go for it. But buy yourself extra batteries and a charger. And maybe some earplugs. Also, INSTALL THE CRASH GUARD. Happy flying!

Product came as advertised. Don't listen to the bad reviews. They did not read the instructions or watch reviews before using. Use the blade protector. You will crash. Just make sure you place the propellers back on the correct wing. They are labeled A and B. If they are not on properly the copter will not lift off ground. I've only had it for a few days and I have extra batteries and charger. Flies awesome.

Antagonize the cat, Buzz past your friends, Annoy your partner! This thing is an absolute blast to fly. Average flight time is about 20 minutes per battery (you want multiple batteries and a multi-battery charger unit) and the controller unit will eat AA batteries like it's going out of style, (maybe 15-20 flights before needing new batteries?). There are mods you can do to the controller to get it to run off of a USB power pack, might have to consider doing that. Face it, you're going to crash. You're going to do it a lot. The good news is that the kit comes with a few spares to get you going again. I highly recommend the bump guard and accessory kit (just amazon search the model number) as it's inexpensive and it's worth every penny in keeping your quad flying. Overall, I love my quad and I am so glad I got the FPV version. It is very exciting to fly and once you get the hang of the basics (Unplanned Rapid Descent is not "landing", it's "crashing.) and get some time under your belt, you'll be doing flips and swarming around the house like the pros. Highly recommended.

Update: I've had the 107D for some time now, and it's still a blast to play with. It's proven to be surprisingly durable, having survived several rather nasty crashes do to my losing orientation and forgetting which way to move the controllers.

I month or two ago, my wife got me my first drone and I quickly became hooked. I looked into racing and drones focused more on cinematography and couldn't decide which I wanted to pursue more and so I started to research both. This Hubsan x4 was on top of numerous lists as a "toy" drone starting point to learn how to operate a racing type drone. So I went with it. The first thing I noticed was the weight this little drone has. It feels very well built and so far has held up to the many crashes I've had while learning to fly it. It survived a crash into my workshop at high speed and a propeller didn't even break. Learning to fly using the FPV is taking some time for me to get used to but I'm getting there.

I have another one, given to me as a (great) birthday present, so I had some practice really getting to know how to fly this kind of quad-copter. I was hooked, so I bought this one myself. Fairly soon after getting it, I decided to fly it high in the air to find out what I could see from there around us. However, I looked at the screen on the controller for a few seconds too long. Looked up, and saw that it was drifting towards the trees, which you can't see on the camera. It doesn't give you peripheral vision - it points straight forward and down at an angle. So at this point I panicked and overdid the maneuvers out of the area, which caused it to move behind me. Once that happened, I couldn't fly it by sight, since all of the controls were now backwards from how I was looking at it. If I had more experience, I would have relaxed a bit and gone back to looking at the screen on the controller, to bring it home. Instead, I hit power up to avoid more obstacles and it shot straight up, and I couldn't see (or hear) it any more. I had all but given up on ever seeing it again, when I happened to glance down at the screen again, and noticed that it was still transmitting - I could see down now from the unit, but it was now so high that I couldn't recognize anything it was looking at. I tried rotating the view, hoping to see something familiar, but to no avail. Forgetting that it was still climbing, the view looked like something you would see from a hot air balloon or small airplane, and I should have relaxed the power on it, but it didn't occur to me - I was more interested in finding out where it was, and hoping to fly it back. Just then, the screen went blank. It had either run out of power (the battery only has about 6 mins of life), or gone out of range. Either way, it was now going to fall from that height, silently, and more likely land in a tree or someone else's garden, bushes, hedges etc., so I gave up on ever seeing it again. However, I had so much fun, that I immediately ordered another one. I'd like to be able to order the 'copter without the controller, but couldn't find out how, so I ordered the full set again. This time, I'm going to add a label on the 'copter that has my phone number on it, should it be lost again and someone happens to find it. Also whenever I use the camera only view, I will have someone standing by me, to help me avoid the potential obstacles to the sides. Overall, love it, but it's a learning experience, so take your time, and make sure you're in an open space for the first few days you try it out, or it will get stuck in a tree or worse, you might completely lose it, like me!

I LOVE THIS LITTLE QUAD CHOPPER! A friend has let me try his and I ordered mine a few days later. I literally flew this guy 3 times for total of about 20 - 30 minutes each time yesterday. We flew outside in calm wind and perfect weather. We flew it through the park, in a large open area walking while walking behind the chopper. For the price point you won't get a better chopper. This thing is sturdy, quick, and the controller is very accurate. It is small so don't let it get to far or too high out of sight, also get batteries and fly above grass, stay away from concrete. My chopper took a beating, hitting a branch, or even flew right into a tree. Everytime I it collided I was positive it had broke. One of the legs around the servo(motor) did crack but I used gorilla glue and zip tie to hold it together and it flew perfectly after some drying time. (During the charging of batteries) I cannot recommend this toy enough.
